YouTube Now To Support On Nintendo Switch As Well
After a long wait, YouTube has finally rolled out its version for the Nintendo Switch. And as one can expect, with this version, one can watch videos on Nintendo’s console even if it is held in one hand, or if it is docked into one’s TV. Now, though the Nintendo Switch has touchscreen controls, most of the controls are through the physical controls. If needed, one can also use the Joy-Con’s analog stick to control videos.
But truth be told, the Nintendo Switch isn’t an ideal device for viewing YouTube videos. The Switch features a 6.2-inch screen with a 720p and 1080p output on TVs. Now, that might seem passable for a few people, but the Switch isn’t really a media device. Without software or features like Netflix, it is hard to turn only to this single device for entertainment.
New Chances
Hulu is the other good option that this device holds within itself, but even that is pretty limited as it is being supported only in the US. Yet, this move by YouTube spreads the Switch’s branches from being a gaming machine to now a slight multimedia machine as well.
New Screens
This also seems like a pretty good move by YouTube as well. As Nintendo Switch are increasingly being used and preferred for multimedia than other devices, this is something that YouTube would like to cash on, and it has done a pretty good job doing so.
