Volvo cars will start communicating with each other in Europe
“Sharing real-time safety data between cars can help avoid accidents,” Malin Ekholm, head of Volvo Cars Safety Centre”
Volvo has implemented a brilliant new technology into their cars which lets your Volvo communicate with other Volvo cars on the road. The objective is to enable safety to avoid accidents by notifying hazardous or slippery roads. The system was already implemented in 2016 with Volvo’s 90 series cars, but it was limited to customers in Norway and Sweden. Thankfully, Volvo is making it available across Europe.
The feature will be integrated into 2020 model Volvo cars, but the company is also keeping an option for the selected old models to integrate the new feature. The cloud-based data communication system could potentially uplift safety measures on the car apart from the most interesting and innovative safety features that come with Volvo.
Their new features such as monitoring the driver to detect intoxication or disturbing driving bring a layer of security. In fact, the speed limit controls and Volvo’s new Car Care Key also makes it safer. Volvo is consistently developing its technology, passenger safety and driving experience with brilliant innovations.
