The most important market for the app is the United States and Canada where more than 93 million people are reached every month. After the United States, comes Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Latin America, India and then Australia. Australia’s and India’s global reach is 6 million people. The numbers are a bit tricky, though. Snapchat specifies that these figures concern only Snap Ads, and account filters or lenses are not considered.
And when talking about advertising numbers, Europe has a very good number of 76 million people. France comes next, then the United Kingdom and finally Germany. Though many other countries have mindboggling numbers, when advertised in countries like Norway, Snapchat ads can reach almost the entire population.
And in the Middle East too, Snapchat surprisingly has a good number of users. In a group of countries where a good social presence is frowned upon, Snapchat is doing pretty well in those markets. Monthly ads can reach over 24 million Snapchaters, and that is due to the strong presence in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and also Iraq.

But not all is great for Snapchat at the moment. The company has just lost 3 million users during the second quarter. This huge loss was due to the design of the app, but the company has been adamant in not changing the design and sticking to the basics. Instead, the company went ahead and updated the app with new augmented reality filters, and allowed its partners to tap into that aspect as well.
The company is also moving with new services like a new private marketplace for advertisers to purchase advertising directly through the Discover section. This makes the advertising process far easier and simpler.
