What we know about Apple’s New Special Event
It might seem that it’s been only a few days since the new iPhone’s were announced, but Apple is already on to its next thing. Now by its next thing, we are not sure what we mean. Apple is holding a special program on the 30th of October. This new event is so confusing, yet is set to give us all the surprises. Apple is breaking all protocols for this one. The event is being hosted not at Apple Park, but at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, right in New York City. Now that is surprising.
Apple is not giving out many hints for this one. The teaser states that “there’s more in the making”, and that’s it. Since this is a special event, there are many rumors on what might be released, and how the new products will be. New iPad Pros are expected to be released at the event, and they are also expected to adopt the design that is now used by the new iPhones. Bezel-less, to be exact.
Exciting New Products
Many also expect a new sequel to the MacBook Air, and also an upgrade to the Mac Mini update. Also in the rumors are the new AirPods. Now, these might seem like an uncommon bunch of products to be released at once. iPads, MacBooks, and AirPods. What does this really mean?
Well, Apple has a lot of competition going on. And not just from one company, but two major ones. Microsoft and Google. Currently, Microsoft has the best PC and Laptop lineup in the market, and they have clearly done much better than Apple’s Macs. Microsoft’s Surface line up doubles up not just like a PC but also as a tablet, thus increasing productivity. Will Apple too do the same? We have no clue.
Google also released its own version of the Surface, namely the Pixel Slate. With a powerful yet light OS and infusing the capabilities of touch and type, the Pixel Slate might also stand up to not just the Mac but also the iPad. Its clear, Apple has to now save not one, but two staple products. The MacBook and also the iPad.
But that is not all! When Google released the Pixel Phone 3, the phone came along USB-C headphones. Though they were not mentioned at the event, turns out that these earbuds are actually pretty good! And considering that they came free with the box makes it even better. These earbuds can be purchased separately too, and can also be used with iPhones. So there you have it, another product that needs to be upgraded.
Apple must be under a lot of pressure right now, and the company needs to clearly stand up to the competition.
