Google shuts down it’s travel planner application “Trips”
Google is actually experimenting all of their new ideas with people and then kills it. Google has killed over 172 projects so far and you’ll be able to find the details here. Essentially, Google is trying to implement the winning features into an already existing popular application like Google Maps.
Recently Google killed Inbox by integrating some of its features into Gmail. Just like that, Google is actually moving a few features of the brilliant “Trips, Travel Planner” app into Google Maps. Your notes, saved places, and reservations will be still available in your Google account, but the application is no more.
It is positive that Google is experimenting with interesting features to upgrade user experience, but it’s very irritating to have one of your favorite travel planner app leaving the platform. Google has to find some other methodology to conduct its experiments.
