Google is testing shoppable ads within the image search
Imagine you’re looking for the most beautiful flower pots on Google image search and seeing an option to buy that particular flower pot from image search itself? Well, that’s a feature and a technique to generate more ad revenue and to showcase interest-based ads within the users.
Google’s algorithms like RankBrain and few others help Google understand the core “request” of information that happens within the user’s mind. The algorithm reads multiple actions and insights to discover or find out what exactly the user is looking for in Google. Artificially intelligent models make it very clean and clear that the user is looking forward to buying a flower pot which has a Persian style old design.
Few users are getting an option where they see sponsored ads on Google image search about the product they are looking for. The tech giant is allowing the users to read more details about a flower pot and a link to purchase the same. If this works as per Google’s planning, the feature will be spread around the world to billions of users making it one of the most interesting and new sources of revenue for advertisers through Google AdWords.
