iOS 12 Might Be Just The Best Update In A While
Updates are something that iOS users just cannot stand. Updates have the reputation of slowing the device, and iOS updates really don’t give users the features and tools that they need. Well, Apple rolled out the iOS 12 today, and this update just changed everything.
iOS 12 might not be the glossiest of all updates, but man it is functional! This new update gives users what they have been wanting for years, and this time the company has outdone itself. If you would like to sum up the whole update in a single word, though, then it is digital wellness. Now, the goal is not to grow more addicts but to grow more meaningful and conscious users of the phone.
Apple has made some raving promises, but this time it looks like the company wants to polish it up first before shipping it. First off is the promise of making a photo search and sharing easier than ever. Another one is the long coming feature to chat with multiple people on FaceTime. And also, there is Memoji, the new emoji that Apple wants everyone to try. Remember, though, that this feature is exclusive to only iPhone X users.
Functional Updates
And this time, there has finally been some really useful updates to Siri. Siri now gets the shortcuts feature, (which is already in the Google Assistant), which would now finally move users to use the digital assistant. And also this time, there is not much bells or whistles, but still, this new feature would help older devices to run much faster, and that is something the older updates have failed to do for years.
Apple has also been claiming that with this new update, apps will open twice as fast, and multitasking will also be a breeze. And as for now, those claims are being true as many iOS users have claimed that their devices feel much faster.
Notification Updates
Another great feature that is coming with this new update is with the notifications, and this time, the new feature is just gorgeous. Now multiple notifications from an app are grouped together, and there is also additional settings to monitor how a particular notification appears to your device, and with just a tap you can explore all these settings without delving into the settings page.
So, if you can’t wait to get your hands on the new iOS 12, then just head on to settings, and check out if the software is up there or not. Of course, it also depends if your device is supported or not. And if the Apple servers are not too overwhelmed, then you have yourself an amazing new update.
