Facebook vs Apple - The internal apps are now running
The recent news that Apple revoked Enterprise certification of internal apps that were being used by Facebook for its employees is now active and running. Apple had to revoke the license because of policy violations and privacy attack by Facebook with it’s “Facebook Research” iOS application.
latest on FB v Apple:
“We have had our Enterprise Certification, which enables our internal employee applications, restored. We are in the process of getting our internal apps up and running. To be clear, this didn’t have an impact on our consumer-facing services.” –FB spox

Facebook was paying $20 each of its users in the mode of gift cards to establish enterprise certificate on their devices thus access their core personal information like browsing history, location, and even encrypted network usage.
Though the consumer-facing apps are not affected, the internal applications were fully down because of the “revocation of certificates”. Apple only allows enterprise certificate for employee use cases and on their devices, violation happens when external app testers come into play.
