Apple to launch its own Credit Card this year
Imagine Goldman Sachs partnering with Apple Inc to deliver credit cards to Apple customers? Yes, it’s about to happen. The news from Wall Street Journal states that the tech giant is about to release its own credit card to Apple customers in partnership with Goldman Sachs.
The credit cards will be tested by Apple staffers and a whopping $200 million is being invested in infrastructures like call centers, payment handling, and basic necessities to run a credit card business.
Apple’s credit card will hopefully show up this year with exciting (or not so exciting) offers on Apple device purchases and other purchases as well. The credit card will be paired with an iPhone and will be powered by Apple Pay.
Apple could make use of Apple Pay Cards to let users control their expense by sending them alerts on their Apple watch about their spending limits depending on the credit card usage. Apple fans are excited to give it a try, hoping that it won’t be charged at $1000 price tag.
