Android Q with dark mode and more privacy
When Android started getting the name, a very good majority of the people started showing interest in the “smartphone” concept. Well, android played well in the market and the technology helped a lot of people to improve their lives with a smartphone.
The trend isn’t the same today, it’s mostly because the latest version of Android either doesn’t support your phone or you’re not interested in upgrading it.
You might have heard of the pie.
Nop, definitely not this pie, but Android P which stands for Android Pie. We should accept the fact that android pie is not even at use to a good majority of Android users.
But today, we have android Q (getting ready to hit the market)
The recent news from XDA-Developers shows that the Android Q is forcing developers to implement dark mode into the applications. Dark mode is something Apple boasts about in their tech events and now Google is also putting hands into it.
The dark mode will reduce the eye strain and also consumes less battery for OLED screens, so that’s indeed a good pick by Google. Reports suggest that Google is trying to implement desktop mode with Android Q but that’s not 100% confirmed yet.
Minor features like privacy controls which let users choose when to share data etc are coming with Android Q. Just like in the Apple devices, you can set the GPS permissions of an application from “Always using” to “Use only when in-app” makes more sense to users.
Just the sneak peek, more to come. Let’s wait and watch!
