Amazon Opens It’s Sixth Go Store With Plans to Expand
Amazon is going big and fast. The ever-expanding online shopping portal juggles between its primary shopping app, the prime services and also its own grocery store! Amazon just opened its last Go store in San Fransisco, and it looks as if the store has achieved everything it wanted with the store.
Amazon opened its sixth store in San Francisco on October 23, located at the city’s financial district. This is just part of the 3000 Amazon Go stores that Amazon plans on opening by 2021. Amazon has done pretty well with its stores. Users can just walk into stores without any cash, and can just pick up their item of choice and walk out.
Fast and Effective
No billing, no cashiers and no waiting. But how is this achieved? Well, thanks to the various cameras and sensors in the store, the company knows what is being taken and when a user walks out of the store. This move by the company shows that the company that has already established itself as a household name in the e-commerce business now wants to establish itself in the daily lives of people.
One can find prepared meals, drinks, and various other home products at the store. There are also on site chairs and microwaves that can be used for on-site dining. Now that is a clever strategy too. By making this a dine-in option, the company is going neck to neck with restaurants and coffee shops too.
Unique Experience
Amazon assures that only fresh produce is put up for sale, and that prepared foods are also made fresh and are carefully selected by store employees found at the back of the store. Among the various foods that are offered to customers are sushi, salads, sandwiches and also desserts. Amazon has also expanded its branches in partnering with local brands and restaurants too that will help Amazon Go to offer quickly perishable products like yogurt, hummus and the like.
The company now is in plans of opening its first store outside the United States, and we are guessing that must be the United Kingdom in the coming months. There is also an opening at New York that has been scheduled, and so it’s clear that the company is moving fast with its plans.
The store has already been a hit with the locals and is being frequented by various commuters and passers-by. The experience of grabbing a product and just walking out is appealing to many, and with the added option of in-house dining, this store is going places.
