Virtual Reality in Brussels

Since virtual reality (VR) became popular thanks to the Oculus Rift more than ten years ago (feeling old yet?), the technology behind it improved, became affordable and video games are more realistic and immersive than ever.

However, let’s face it, it is still quite pricey – between 350 euros and 800 euros – and you need a room big enough to allow you to move around freely without knocking out your furniture.

No worries, Brussels has different places offering a full VR experience for everyone: friends, family and even co-workers!

Virtual Room

Located near Central Station, Virtual Room offers you immersive missions for small groups (2 to 4 players) where communication is key. The perfect mix between escape rooms and VR with a hint of time travelling!

Futurist Games

Whether you’re looking to celebrate your birthday, have a bachelor party or a team building, Futurist Games has a catalog of more than 30 different games! From art, to zombie apocalypse or even space missions, there’s plenty of choice available.

The Park

Looking for some entertainment after shopping downtown? The Park got you! With 5 different VR-adventures, have fun and try out “De Mol”, a game based on a Flemish reality tv-show.

Immersion VR

Pyramids, Greek mythology, Alice in Wonderland, zombie shooters… a multitude of universes to explore thanks to Immersion VR, located near the Cirque Royal (close to Madou).

Zero Latency

Action movies are your jam? Don’t look further than Zero Latency and their VR experiences full of adrenaline! With your team of 8 players, get your weapons ready to kill enemies from space, zombies or immerse yourself in “Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity”.

Other Options

Does VR make you dizzy? Are the options above too intense for you? No worries, you can still enjoy this technology in quieter settings thanks to art exhibitions. For the past few years, we saw Van Gogh, Monet, Klimt and Bruegel taking over Brussels at the Bourse, Horta Gallery, Mont des Arts with astonishment.

See all of these master pieces coming to life with 360° projections spread on gigantic walls and discover more details and secrets with VR. You can currently visit Viva Frida Kahlo – Immersive Experience at De Brouckère (16,50 eur for an adult).

Bottom Line

In conclusion, Brussels has A LOT to offer regarding VR technology, allowing us to escape reality and enjoy some quality time with friends, family and even colleagues. So…What are your plans for this weekend?
